Back on the Road 2018 Time for our second annual Back on the Road! Last year, over 30 nominations were submitted for South Carroll veterans who continue to serve our local community in many amazing ways. We're excited to make this an annual event. C&A is once again selecting two veterans living in the Eldersburg/Sykesville area who could use a little extra help getting or keeping their vehicle going. Whether its for travel to work, finding work or transporting their family around—we're looking to get them back on the road. The selected veterans will each receive up to $2,500 of auto repair or maintenance services at no charge. All work will be done to our high standards with our full 24 month/24,000 mile warranty—they will just see an amount due of zero. We will not advertise their names unless the veteran approves and everything can be submitted anonymously if
C&A is proud to sponsor Liberty High School's USO Club this year. The USO Club holds a celebration breakfast on Veteran's Day and invites members of the community who served int he military or who are currently serving to join them to commemorate their sacrifices and honor them for their dedication to our country. They lay wreaths at Crest Lawn Cemetery in December to honor fallen comrades in coordination with Wreaths Across America. They participate in Operation Welcome Home which allows us to thank servicemen and women when they return home from overseas at BWI Airport. They also are putting together care packages in conjunction with Operation Gratitude for those servicing overseas to help them know that we are thinking about them and appreciate their work. We love the work these local students are doing and they set a great example for all of us!

On Saturday, August 18th, 2018, we held our first Back to School Car Care Clinic at C&A Automotive in Eldersburg. Adam started the day with a young lady who was getting ready to hit the road for college. The vehicle was an older Honda Civic. We started by teaching Molly how to check the oil in her car. It’s a good thing, the Honda was 2 ½ quarts low on oil. This engine only holds Four quarts. Chances are if the oil was not checked before she left, the car would not of made it to school. Molly did great. We handed her 2 ½ quarts of oil and a funnel and she did the rest. Adam and Molly spoke about how her car must be using oil and the importance of pulling the dipstick every other time she gets gas. Before we were done Adam put two quarts

C&A is a proud sponsor of Sacred Heart's Glyndon Area Players' production of Hello Dolly! at Sacred Heart Parish. Hello, Dolly! is a 1964 musical with lyrics and music by Jerry Herman and a book by Michael Stewart. Based on Thornton Wilder's 1938 farce The Merchant of Yonkers (which Wilder revised and retitled The Matchmaker in 1955), the musical follows the story of Dolly Gallagher Levi (a strong-willed matchmaker), as she travels to Yonkers, New York, to find a match for the miserly "well-known unmarried half-a-millionaire" Horace Vandergelder. In doing so she persuades his niece, his niece's intended, and Horace's two clerks to travel to New York City. The Theatre Company Built on a Dream Sacred Heart's Glyndon Area Players (GAP) is the theatre-in-residence at Sacred Heart Parish. Founded in 1998, GAP was established as a creative outlet to showcase the talent of Glyndon, Reisterstown, and the surrounding Maryland communities.
