On Saturday, August 18th, 2018, we held our first Back to School Car Care Clinic at C&A Automotive in Eldersburg. Adam started the day with a young lady who was getting ready to hit the road for college. The vehicle was an older Honda Civic. We started by teaching Molly how to check the oil in her car. It’s a good thing, the Honda was 2 ½ quarts low on oil. This engine only holds Four quarts. Chances are if the oil was not checked before she left, the car would not of made it to school. Molly did great. We handed her 2 ½ quarts of oil and a funnel and she did the rest. Adam and Molly spoke about how her car must be using oil and the importance of pulling the dipstick every other time she gets gas. Before we were done Adam put two quarts

C&A is a proud sponsor of Sacred Heart's Glyndon Area Players' production of Hello Dolly! at Sacred Heart Parish. Hello, Dolly! is a 1964 musical with lyrics and music by Jerry Herman and a book by Michael Stewart. Based on Thornton Wilder's 1938 farce The Merchant of Yonkers (which Wilder revised and retitled The Matchmaker in 1955), the musical follows the story of Dolly Gallagher Levi (a strong-willed matchmaker), as she travels to Yonkers, New York, to find a match for the miserly "well-known unmarried half-a-millionaire" Horace Vandergelder. In doing so she persuades his niece, his niece's intended, and Horace's two clerks to travel to New York City. The Theatre Company Built on a Dream Sacred Heart's Glyndon Area Players (GAP) is the theatre-in-residence at Sacred Heart Parish. Founded in 1998, GAP was established as a creative outlet to showcase the talent of Glyndon, Reisterstown, and the surrounding Maryland communities.

We love supporting the annual Strawberry Festival at Messiah Lutheran Church each year. This year marks the 28th year of the festival. Check out photos from previous years here. It will be held on Saturday, June 2nd, 2018 from 9am to 4pm at the Sykesville Freedom Fire Department. The Strawberry Festival began as a way for the church to raise funds to construct a fellowship building. It started out small, but then began to grow. It has become the largest in the area and has sold over 420,000 pounds of strawberries! The festivak has games, pony rides, entertainment, a silent auction, food, craft and antique vendors and, of course, strawberry shortcake. Proceeds from past festivals have funded the construction of 'Celebration Hall,' a building used by the Messiah Nursery School, Sunday School, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, 4H, Lions Club and other community organizations.
